Planning for grants – community give-back program

Categories: Blog

The February monthly catch-up had a strong focus around developing our community give-back program and creating a strategy to begin applying for Grants.

The two key elements of our program are around economic empowerment for women, and the through our network of leaders, the concept of giving-back was around donating time and skills to help other women.

Philanthropy can be defined as: “love of humanity” in the sense of caring, nourishing, developing and enhancing “what it is to be human” on both the benefactors’ (by identifying and exercising their values in giving and volunteering) and beneficiaries’ (by benefiting) parts”.

At the core of this group is the desire to be action-orientated and the philanthropic component of this is also around action that contributes to the wider community in a positive way.

The skill-set within this group is already spectacular emcompassing: HR, professional Board Executives, leadership consultants, confidence coaches, marketing, events, small business owners, health and wellness and more.

We have developed a partnership with Ready To Work who also share the core value of helping women towards economic independence and will strongly align with them throughout the Grant application process.
